Lakeside Health Institute was founded to make high-quality healthcare education accessible, especially in underserved communities. Our founder, a CNA, LPN, CPR instructor, and clinical research professional, built the school to overcome the barriers students face, offering flexible, tech-forward education.

Lakeside Health Institute was established as more than just a school, it’s a mission-driven
institution designed to create meaningful change in the lives of aspiring healthcare
professionals. The vision behind its founding stems from a deep commitment to increasing
access to quality healthcare education, particularly for those from underserved backgrounds.

Built on years of hands-on experience as a CNA, LPN, CPR instructor, and clinical research professional, the founder recognized the challenges many face when trying to enter the healthcare field, whether due to financial barriers, limited resources, or rigid program structures. These real-world insights shaped the belief that education should be accessible, inclusive, and modern.
Lakeside Health Institute is not only focused on access and equity, but also on modernizing the nursing school experience. Our Programs

BASIC NURSING ASSISTANT TRAINING
(4-WEEKS)

Tuition: $1,999

  • The Basic Nursing Assistant Training Program (BNATP) at Lakeside Health Institute, Inc. is a comprehensive, state-approved program designed to prepare students to provide quality care in a variety of healthcare settings. This 4-week program consists of 120 total clock hours, including 40 clinical hours, and complies with the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) regulations for Nursing Assistant Training.
Students will gain foundational knowledge and practical skills necessary for employment as certified nursing assistants (CNAs) in long-term care facilities, hospitals, home health, and other healthcare environments. The curriculum emphasizes the development of essential skills such as communication, infection control, safety, personal care, basic nursing procedures, and ethical and legal responsibilities.
Upon successful completion of the program, students will be eligible to take the Illinois CNA Competency Examination to be placed on the Illinois Nurse Aide Registry.
